Last Friday, July 1, the Spanish Wine Classroom in Madrid hosted the 6th edition of the Small D.O.'s National Wine Contest, a contest in which only wines from wineries attached to small Spanish wine regions can participate, that is, regions that meet the two criteria necessary to be a Small D.O., on the one hand a qualitative criterion, that is, Vino de Pago, Wine with D.O. Ca, D.O. and I.G.P. and on the other hand, a quantitative criterion, producing less than 4.5 million bottles in the reference year taken. On this occasion our Pilas Bonas 2021 won a Gold medal.

The primary purpose of this contest is to reward the work of the wineries and winemakers in Spain, rewarding the quality of the wines obtained in each campaign. This is intended to encourage the interest of producers and bottlers in improving their products and, thus, stimulate demand for the award-winning wines. In this second edition, in the category of young red wines, our VEO VEO 2021 has achieved the Gold medal.

Silver Medal: Pilas Bonas 2021

The primary purpose of this contest is to reward the work of the wineries and winemakers in Spain, rewarding the quality of the wines obtained in each campaign. This is intended to encourage the interest of producers and bottlers in improving their products and, thus, stimulate demand for the award-winning wines. In this second edition in the category of young white wines, our Pilas Bonas 2021 has achieved the Silver medal.

In its thirty-sixth edition, the Baco Awards once again brought together wines from 45 different indications of origin, open exclusively to wines from the most recent harvest, without restriction of type. The contest, organized by the Spanish Union of Tasters, one of the oldest in Spain, valuing and recognizing the potential of the most recent vintage wines, decided to award a silver medal to our VEO VEO 2021.

In the last international competition held in Bourdeaux, France, our coupage of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, Pilas Bonas 2020 was awarded a gold medal in its category of white wines and also obtained a special mention as the best valued wine of all wines tasted from Spain.

Eight opinion leaders from the holland market gathered in the rooms of the Novotel Amsterdam City Hotel endorsed with their presence the rigor of the awards granted and their support for a promotional initiative such as the Best of Spain Wine Challenge, where our QuiXote Petit Verdot 2016 received the gold medal.

The only competition in Spain recognized by the OIV, Bacchus opened its registration to wines from the world geography. Four days in which the more than 1,500 participating wines and a hundred tasters made Madrid the wine capital of the world.

Masters of Wine, prescribers, journalists, Masters of Sommelier, winemakers. A team of national and international professional judges of first level saw fit to award a gold medal to our QuiXote Petit Verdot 2016.

Last 6 November was held the gala of the XXX Awards Grand Selection in the town of Albacete. This award recognizes various foods including wine, offering consumers and food professionals the full assurance that at their table they will have the best of Castilla La Mancha food.

In the 42nd edition of the Challenge International du Vin in which 3761 wines representing 37 countries participated, was recognized with a silver medal our Pilas Bonas Chardonnay - Sauvignon Blanc 2017.

The SMALL DO'S PRIZES celebrated their second edition on February 16, 2018, betting on the promotion of small producing regions. In this National Wine Quality Contest, the approximately 1,000 wineries belonging to any of the 59 small wine regions recognized as Single State Wines, D.O.Ca, D.O.'s and Quality Wines were able to take part. On this occasion the jury formed by winemakers, sommeliers, distributors, importers, merchants, experts in sensory analysis and technical directors of Regulatory Councils of Small DO's through blind tasting had to give a gold medal to our Pilas Bonas 2017.

Our Pilas Bonas Chardonnay - Sauvignon Blanc 2016 obtained a silver medal.

The Bacchus International Wine Competition organized by the Spanish Union of Tasters (Union Española de Catadores) took place March 19-23, 2015 in Madrid. It is considered to be one of Spain’s most important wine competitions recognized as such by the International Organization of Vine and Wine, VINOFED and the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment.
During these four days, more than one hundred professional wine tasters, Master Sommeliers, Masters of Wine, winemakers, specialized media and domestic and international prescribers, tasted and scored more than 1500 wines presented in the competition of which our very own Pilas Bonas Chardonnay-Sauvignon Blanc 2014 was awarded a Gold Medal.

The twelfth edition of the Bacchus International Wine Competition took place in Madrid from March 14 to 18, 2014. During these four consecutive days the jury, comprising 80 wine tasters from 24 different countries, tasted 1593 wines in order to decide which were worthy to receive a 2014 Bacchus Award.

During The Wine Show celebrated in London between de 22th and 25th of October, the prizewinners of the Wine Innovation Awards have been announced, this competition have been celebrated in the city last September. The Wine Innovation Awards recognize and award the creative in wine, in its making process and properties.
